Tent peak (Tharpu Chuli Peak) rises at an elevation of 5663 meters with spectacles of mountains and glaciers all around it. Tent peak climbing starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara city. from Pokhara, we drive further to Nayapul which is the real trekking spot of the journey. The trail goes through terraced farmlands, villages, lush forests and alpine pastures to the Annapurna Base Camp. Tent peak climbing follows the trail of Annapurna Base Camp and takes you there to relish the outstanding beauty of Annapurna Sanctuary. From the base camp, we take a trail that leads us to the Tent peak base camp. From the base camp, we climb up the peak with the help of an ice axe and ropes. After conquering the top of the peak, we descend down to Bamboo and then to Jhinu Danda. At Jhinu Danda, we can enjoy the hot water bath in the natural hot water springs. Further, we walk to Nayapul and drive back to Kathmandu via Pokhara. In this way, Tent Peak climbing adds a challenge of peak climbing to your Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Welcome to Nepal. A representative from Eye on Himalaya Treks and Expedition P. Ltd will welcome you at the airport and transfer to a hotel in Kathmandu. For the remaining time, you can rest at your hotel and make yourself with the new environment. Tonight at Kathmandu.

 

Today, as a part of your sightseeing day tour, you will be driven to different UNESCO listed heritage sites around Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudhanath stupa are included in today’s day tour. If you need anything for your climbing journey ahead, you can buy some last-minute items today. You can also utilize this day for trek preparation purposes. Tonight at Kathmandu.

 

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for a long drive to Pokhara city, another major city in Nepal. We drive for around six to seven hours along Prithvi Highway enjoying the wonderful views of countryside Nepal, lush hills, valleys, and rivers along our way. On reaching Pokhara city, you will be dropped at a hotel in Pokhara. In the evening, you can walk to lakeside Pokhara to admire the serenity of the lake and wilderness of mountains. Leaving Pokhara, we take a short drive to Phedi. From Phedi, we start walking along an easy and scenic route to the village of Dhampus. Dhampus is a beautiful village that lies on a top of a hill and offers some spectacular views of mountains that include Mt. Macchapucchre, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal and many more. We enjoy our breakfast with wonderful views of the mountains on sight. Beyond Dhampus, We ascend up via the forested area through the stone-paved trails. We pass Pothana and climb up to the village of Deurali. From here, we descend down steeply via the forests of rhododendron, oak to a picturesque settlement of Landruk. Landruk is mostly inhabited by the people of the Gurung community. Tonight at Landruk

 

After breakfast, we descend down all the way down to a river and climb up through a steep trail. We pass the bamboo forests and isolated farmlands on the way to Jhinu Danda. From here, we climb up steep to the crest of a ridge and then follow a trail that will lead us to Chomorong. Chomorong is a beautiful settlement on a steep hillside that offers some stunning views of Mt. Macchapucchre. Tonight at Chomorong

 

Further, we leave the village of Chomorong and walk along the banks of Modi Khola to climb up the sloppy route that passes through the dense forests of rhododendron and oak. As we climb up, we cross a suspension bridge to walk towards Sinuwa Danda. We again ascend up from Sinuwa to Khuldighar and descend down through the forests of bamboo and rhododendron to Bamboo. From bamboo, we further climb up for one and a half hours to Dovan. Tonight at Dovan

 

Today, we climb up steep to cross a trail enclosed by an overhanging portion of the Hinko cave. We walk pass the cave to Deurali. As we pass Deurali, the valley narrows down to the gateway of the Annapurna Sanctuary. We climb up the trail to reach Macchapucchre Base Camp. It is actually a grassy moraine that offers some gorgeous views of mountains in the Annapurna range. Tonight at Macchapuchhre Base Camp

 

Leaving Macchapucchre base camp, we follow a trail that will lead us to Annapurna Base Camp. Also known as Annapurna Sanctuary, the base camp offers some stunning views of mountains. As you open up to the base camp, your eyes will keep wandering from one peak to another. Annapurna Himal, Macchapucchre, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli and many other towering peaks. Today is a free day in Annapurna Base Camp. It is mainly for acclimatization purposes. Today, we explore around the Annapurna Base Camp and relish the mesmerizing views of snow-clad mountains right before us. The grandeur of Annapurna massif is simply spellbinding. After a day in Annapurna Base Camp for acclimatization, it’s time to head for our climbing journey. Today, we follow a trail to Tent Peak Base Camp. It takes us around four hours to reach the base camp. We can walk slowly acclimatizing ourselves with the rising elevation. Tonight at Tent Peak Base Camp

 

Today, we walk a bit further up towards the Tent Peak High Camp. It’s a short walk up to the high camp just to prepare us for the climbing journey ahead. it helps us acclimatize with the rising elevation. If interested one can practice some climbing skills and prepare for climbing tomorrow. Tonight at Tent Peak High Camp

 

It’s our peak climbing day today. We start our day early so as o climb up the peak by noon. Afternoon, the weather tends to be windy and unfavorable. We follow our team leader and climb up the peak. From the top, we can admire some stunning views of mountains. After conquering the peak, we get down to the base camp. Tonight at base camp

 

It’s a contingency day in case we aren’t able to climb up the peak on Day 13 for whatsoever reasons. 

 

From the base camp, we embark on our return journey. Today, we descend down the trail t Bamboo. On the way, we pass waterfalls, forests and wonderful landscapes with some admirable views of snow-clad mountains like Mt. Macchapucchre and Mt. Hiunchuli. Tonight at Bamboo

 

Leaving bamboo, we ascend up the trail to Kuldighar and then to Sinuwa. We follow the stone-paved stairs that will lead us to the Lowe Chomorong. We climb up to upper Chomorong and descend down to Jhinu Danda. At Jhinu Danda, there are few natural hot springs. If interested, you can enjoy a hot water bath in those natural springs. Today, we walk pass various settlements and scenic landscapes around us to Syaulibazaar. We pass Birenthanti and follow a trail towards Nayapul. At Nayapul, we jump into our ride that will drop us at our hotel in Pokhara. If interested, you can walk towards lakeside Pokhara for the evening. Tonight at Pokhara

 

It’s a free day in Pokhara. You can spend the day in Pokhara as per your will. You can either opt for a sightseeing tour or drive to Sarangkot to experience some adventure activities. Tonight at Pokhara

 

Today, we take a scenic drive along the highway and return back to the capital city of Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel room in Kathmandu. You can relax at the hotel for the rest of the time. Tonight at Kathmandu
